National Ice Cream For Breakfast Day began in Rochester, N.Y., in the 1960’s by Florence Rappaport. Rappaport decided to let her six children eat ice cream for breakfast on the first Saturday of every February to make winter more bearable for them. Now her custom has spread around the nation and the world.

Here at Casper’s Ice Cream (makers of FatBoy) we could not agree more with Florence. Since 1925 we have been creating some of America’s favorite frozen treats and along with Mrs. Rappaport think you should enjoy ice cream any time of the day….even for breakfast.
