Building a Sundae fit for a Crowd

Building a Sundae fit for a Crowd

Do you ever wonder how people really lived before Ice Cream Sundaes? Fortunately, we don’t have to suffer like that. Ice cream sundaes have become so popular that they even earned their own nationally-recognized day. National Sundae Day is held every year on November 11.

How to make a classic sundae

An ice cream sundae is so delicious because it combines a few simple ingredients that have a party in your mouth. Typically, these are the ingredients used in a sundae:

  1. Ice cream
  2. Sauce or Syrup
  3. Whipped Cream
  4. Any toppings you want! (sprinkles, maraschino cherries, nuts, toffee…)

The combination of rich, creamy ice cream with a drizzling hot syrup can’t really be described. Then to throw on top of that a soft whipped topping, and a good old fashioned crunch with some nuts–and you’re literally on cloud nine.

FatBoy Ice Cream offers Ice Cream Sundaes in four delectable flavors: Vanilla Nut, Toffee, Caramel Pretzel, and Cherry Cordial. Their chocolate shells are packed with flavor and toppings, and just like our ice cream sandwiches, our sundaes are loaded with succulent ice cream in middle.

The first Sundae

This classic old treat has been around for decades. Many people can even recollect the first time they slurped down a sundae–describing in clarity the place they ate it, who they were with, and how it tasted. Yes, it’s really that good.

Although it’s unclear who actually invented the first Sundae, and where it originated from, one this is for certain. They’re good, and you deserve it.

It would be selfish to not share a sundae with those you care about. So if your fridge is running low on FatBoy Sundaes, you may want to whip up a larger sundae.

3. Remove from the freezer and drizzle 12 ounces of caramel syrup over the whipped topping.

4. Top with 1/4 cup of chocolate syrup.

5. Sprinkle two toffee bars, broken up, over the top.

6. Last, top with one jar of cherries (about 12), and serve!
